Thru Deck safely “sto’ed”

At Thru Deck Services we’re looking forward to bringing in the new year with our new captain at the helm.

Alan Stobo will be steering the company into 2022 and beyond as our new Divisional Manager.

Alan comes to Thru Deck with an extensive management background, first in retail and then as a construction manager of some 16 years’ experience. He’s worked mainly in the refurbishment and structural repairs sector and has hands-on ability in the application of specialist construction materials such as concrete repair materials, liquid roofing, protective coatings and waterproofing products. From initial condition surveys to estimating and tendering to site management, Alan has done it all.

Alan is professional, dedicated and results-driven with proven success in achieving business growth. Besides being responsible for running the day-to-day operational management of Thru Deck Services, he will be looking to use his communication and negotiation skills to strengthen and maintain our existing customer base and to develop new relationships.

As Divisional Manager, he will also co-ordinate the management of site operations in line with our well-established quality and safety standards. He has contracts management experience and holds a Site Manager CSCS card, so he is well versed in construction health and safety requirements and he’ll be seeking to uphold our company values in staff training and development.

He will lead Thru Deck through the complete design, supply, delivery and installation package of Metal floor and roof decking solutions that gives our customers assurance and consistency at every stage of their projects. And with the back-up of our experienced in-house technical team, he can give them complete support.

At Thru Deck we constantly strive to challenge and improve our processes and procedures and we believe that Alan will be an asset to this long-standing business as we continue to deliver practical, safe, sustainable and value-engineered metal decking solutions to the construction industry.
