TDS Accreditations

At Thru Deck Services we’re committed to client satisfaction. We’ve built up such a reputation for providing an excellent professional and personal service that many of our clients return to us time and time again.

We strive to maintain that client satisfaction by also being committed to delivering quality. We supply quality, market-leading decking products but it doesn’t stop there. We ensure that our entire service to our clients, from the design through the ordering and manufacturing processes to installation of our products on site is the very best.

And to prove it we’ve been awarded three Constructionline accreditations.

Constructionline is a register of contractors and consultants with a database of over 2000 organisations. Central government, local governments and major contractors can access this database to search for contractors and sub-contractors and it’s essential for companies to be accredited within Constructionline if they’re to be selected to tender for projects.

Constructionline Gold Membership

As we’re a Constructionline Gold member, our customers know that our company is PAS 91 (Publicly Available Specification) acclaimed and has been subjected to robust scrutiny around governance, quality management and risk management. Gold members are also assessed in areas such as environmental management, equalities and diversity and adhere to the legislations around modern slavery, anti-bribery and anti-corruption.

Additionally, in order to qualify for Gold membership we were required to have an accreditation for strict compliance with Health & Safety legislation.

Acclaim H&S accreditation

Acclaim is awarded through Safety Schemes In Procurement (SSIP) and is a certification we received following a thorough external assessment of our H&S documentation and safe systems of work. Knowing that we have this accreditation, our customers can be assured that we consider the health and safety of everyone on site a top priority and that we actively work to reduce risk and incidents – yet another aspect of our quality service.

Through this award we’re recognised by the Contractors’ Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS), EXOR (or SAFEPQQ) and SafeContractor.

Constructionline Social Value

So, what is Social Value?
Social Value, according to the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC), is the desire to “improve the sustainability of the built environment, by transforming the way it is planned, designed, constructed, maintained and operated.” This can be achieved by the construction industry in several ways, broadly around providing jobs and economic growth, promoting H&S and wellbeing, protecting the environment, working with climate change and improving quality of life.

The Constructionline accreditation recognises that TDS practices Corporate Social Responsibility. In reality, we look to discuss and assess our customers’ varying social values and deliver them. As a sub-contractor we aim to contribute to social value with our commitment to health, safety and wellbeing necessities and by eliminating waste and maximising efficiency.

All of these awards serve to make TDS the preferred decking sub-contractor for many leading building contractors and steelwork fabricators. The accreditations benefit us by:

  • Simplifying tender pre-qualification processes, thereby reducing costs and saving time, effort and the need to have multiple certifications.
  • Providing immediate evidence of legitimacy and of management and safety credentials, which aids us when bidding for jobs by establishing confidence in our clients.
  • Raising our profile on the Constructionline and SSIP databases.

We thrive on being Scotland’s No.1 local metal decking contractor.
