The project was a stunning house at Strathaven Airfield in South Lanarkshire, a new home for airfield owners Colin MacKinnon and Marta Briongos and was voted one of the 10 best new buildings north of the border by the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland. Colin, a former journalist, together with his partner Marta, run a microlight flying school from the airfield. The building has a light, airy and joyful feel to it, and fits in perfectly with its semi‐industrial hangar neighbours.

This building was featured on Grand Designs with an appearance of the great Brian Clarke and our claim to fame. It is rare that metal decking is the centre of attention on prime time television and so it was a moment to reach for the record button for all at ThruDeck Services!
